100% of the event cost is required in order to reserve your event booking. In order to protect our time, effort, and scheduling availability, 50% of the total cost of your booking is non-refundable.

If a booking is canceled by the customer at least one week prior to the event, 50% of the event fee will be refunded. The remaining 50% cannot be applied to a new booking.
Cancellations made less than one week prior to the event will not receive a refund- regardless of weather, regardless of illness, regardless of whether or not a sorcerer turned your party guests into newts.
Cancellations made on our end will receive a 50% refund and have the remaining 50% of their event fee applied as credit toward a future event.
In the unlikely event that your reservation is terminated by The Ojai Pixie due to health or safety risks presented at the event, no refund or credit will be applied.

Ugh, rules! We know rules can feel boring, but they are a critical part of ensuring that a fun and magical time is had by all!
For the safety of both performer and guests, a shaded area must be provided for Miss Pixie at outdoor events.
ALL dogs in shared space with Miss Pixie must be kept leashed at all times. The Ojai Pixie reserves the right to terminate a reservation and exit the event upon failure to comply with this requirement.
Please refer to the Hair Tinsel policy above, and be advised that a discovery of Lice will lead to an immediate termination of reservation and performer exit from the event.

While Miss Pixie is a firm believer in the age old mantra “the show must go on!,” it is STRONGLY encouraged that you are prepared with a backup plan where weather is concerned. Rain causes irreversible damage to costuming that even pixie dust cannot fix!
For performer safety, please have an air conditioned indoor option prepared if the temperature is expected to be above 100° F.
In the event of fires, AQI will be verified via the fire.airnow.gov and iqair.com websites. If the air quality index is above 150 as of 9am on the day of your event, and you are unable to provide a sealed (doors and windows closed) indoor location, your booking will be cancelled.
Events cancelled by The Ojai Pixie due to weather complications will not be eligible for refund.

Hair Tinsel can be provided for those with both clean and dry hair.
It is the responsibility of the grown-up in charge of each child to ensure their hair is clean, dry, and brushed.
For private events, please advise parents to perform Lice checks prior to attendance of the event.
Hair Tinsel services will be refused at performer’s discretion if hair is visibly wet, sweaty, dirty, or tangled.
For health and safety reasons, discovery of Lice will result in immediate cancellation of reservation and exit from the event.

Miss Pixie Tangerine has extensive experience working with children and adults with special needs. Nobody is ever forced to interact with Miss Pixie, and she will not take it personally if your kiddo prefers to watch from afar!

Miss Pixie can visit all kinds of places- Parks! Offices! Outdoor Markets! Schools! Restaurants! Houses! Ballrooms! Convention Centers! Pirate Ships!

You betcha! A QR code for Miss Pixie’s payment app is displayed at nearly all events, and can also be found by scanning the code on the back of her business cards. Tips are never required, but they are a tangerine-tastic way to show her if you think she did a particularly spectacular job!

Please refer to our cancellation policy above!
If your child is sick and you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours prior to your event, you will a 50% discount credit towards a future booking.
If your child is sick and you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your booking, you will not receive any credit toward future bookings.
For health and safety reasons, and the safety of the community, if Miss Pixie arrives at an event and anyone present is displaying symptoms of illness, The Ojai Pixie reserves the right to cancel your reservation and exit your event without refund.

Uh oh! Big feelings happen and we don’t take it personally if all the sparkles seem overwhelming sometimes!
If a child expresses that they do not want:
~To be touched (Miss Pixie always asks for consent before touching anyone’s face, hair, arms, or hands)
~To have any product used in the enchanted offerings touching them
The Ojai Pixie will not proceed with the offering in question.
Enthusiastic consent on the part of the person receiving the offering is required in order to proceed.
The grown-up responsible for each child is required to be present to pay Miss Pixie before services can be rendered in a vendor setting.
